STARS ARE SHINING

WOAHHH i gotta lot to tell yah..
first of all, i am so stoked because i will most likely get to meet one of my best friends soon!! we became friends through blogging! We live a few hours away from each other (technically in different states..) and i .am .so. excited!!

also..you've probably noticed that the blog has a whole new look!! well not completely, but there's a new logo! i like it because it's nice and simple and doesn't draw the attention away from the posts and photos! there's also a new name/link things! its now just www.missbellaaboo.blogspot.com !this is not all that's changing, over the next few weeks (?) i will be changing things on this blog around and i'll be seeing what i like. this blog is a bit like a journal for me i guess, where i can share my photography, film and art to you all! and i don't want to feel pressured to post every week or something! nah mate, this blog is where i can share stuff when i like! and also i can post what i like! People always say "stick to one theme on your blog" or something but not for me. You should be able to post whatever you like! whether for a month all you post is fashion, but then you do heapppsss of cooking with the occasional photography post! its up to you! what ever floats your goat!  whatever makes YOU the happiest!

these photos below were taken a few nights ago with my dad. they're really simple to take! you just gotta set your camera to S (thats on Nikon, on canon it'd be Tv) then slow your shutter speed down and get someone to wave around a light or something in a shape and wallah my friends!

enjoy xx

SICK DAY ESSENTIALS

ahh! it's been a while hasn't it! I'm really sorry for not blogging in ages but boy does it feel good to be back here writing up a new post for you all! (and planning heaps of new ones!)
For the past few days I've been at home recovering from a cold/ear infection thing. It's not quite fun being sick. And sometimes you can get really bored, because you feel so gross and you wanna relax and rest but you want to do something to keep your mind off things? yeah I know that feeling.
in this post I'm going to show you some of my 'sick day essentials'. things that I use a lot when I'm sick. And that help make me feel better.

1: THINGS TO KEEP YOU BUSY
I like keeping busy when I'm at home sick, just doing some quiet activities that keep my mind off things.

1: Do some drawing or colouring. This always makes me feel better, even just doodling. or you can do some colouring in one of those mindfulness colouring books. they are a great way to pass time!
2: I love pinterest. when I'm sick I usually don't have much energy and end up feeling pretty uninspired..scrolling through pinterest for a while is a great way to make you feel inspired again.
3:sometimes I like to relax and watch some videos on youtube. my absolute favourite youtubers are: Dude perfect , PsychoSoprano , Rachel Ballinger and Miranda Sings
4:reading, It's an obvious one, But it's so nice to lie down with a nice book and just read for hours!

2: SCENTED CANDLES

I find that having a scented candle in my room is really nice when I'm sick. I love this one from Bath and Body Works in 'Lemon Mint Tea' flavour that my mum got me.

3:COMFY CLOTHES

It's always good to wear something comfy while your sick. I love these 1: Blue floral harem pants and 2: long sleeve marble top both sent to me from @tutus_and_tambourines !

4:LIPBALM +HYDRATION MIST

When I'm sick I get very dry chapped lips, and I can get pretty hot and flustered  (you know what I mean?) So my Paw Paw lip balm and Instensive hydration mist sent to me from Girl Lane XO are must haves!

I hope that this post helps you the next time your at home sick!
And if you are home sick like me..I hope you get better soon!

much love to you all - B xx

Succulents // 01

oh succulents, succulents, succulents! where do i begin! lets just say that i'm a bit obsessed with them! i love the colour the patterns and the way you can just wiggle the old leaves off and grow a whole new succulent from it! just plain awesome!
today i am going to share some of my best tips for looking after and growing your succulents at home!
photo credits to Brooke and i!

1: buy the healthiest succulents so you can be sure to have a healthy start with your succulents!

2: put them in direct sunlight!

succulents love light! it will help them to grow healthy! i suggest putting them on your window sill like i do!

3: propagate!
meaning: carefully wiggle off the old leaves on your succulents, dry them out and then place them on good soil in an egg carton or tray etc, soon you'll see little baby succulents growing. propagating is my favourite, i just love it!

4: be very careful not to over water them! it is very tempting to water them but once every 2 weeks or whenever they look very dry will do!

5: use good soil to plant them in.
you don't want a really barky or dry soil, you want a good healthy juicy one, that definitely helps!

6: get lots of different types.
i like variety and it looks really cool to have lots of different ones together or seperate!

7: choose a great pot to put them in.
you don't want a boring old pot, you want something interesting! paint your pots or even buy cute ones at vintage stores or something!

they are all my succulent tips... for now!
thank you to brooke for letting me use some of her gorgeous photos for this post!
if you would like to see more of our tips and pictures of succulents follow our new combined IG account " succulentsxbb " and tag your succulent and cacti photos to #succulentxbb so we can see them and repost them! so go follow us!
i hope you all had a lovely weekend and spoiled your dads on fathers day!
i also hope this post helped with growing and maintaining your succulents or inspired you to get some and grow them!
until next time! - bella xo
